Very disappointed in meal. This restaurant has gone down hill big time since going there last time 2 years ago. We took my grandmother here for her birthday and it was anything but a celebration. 3 of us had crab cakes and they were burned on one side and hardly cooked on other side. My daughter asked for her burger medium rare and it came medium well and burned several places. I had seafood combo and clearly it was just pulled from freezer. Very mediocre. Only one out of five meals was satisfactory. We told server of our issues and we were only comped an appetizer. LAME! There were only about 5 tables occupied so it is beyond me how cook could mess up the food. Average service as well. Our bill came for nearly $90 and I felt robbed. Avoid this place at all cost. There is a very good reason there are not many people there.

Went there yesterday and I was very disappointed to say the least. The paint on the wall looked cheesy and not a supper club atmosphere anymore. I ordered the deep fried lobster and it was caked in batter and no flavor to it. My wife and aunt ordered scallops and they were tasteless . The shrimp also had no flavor. For as much as you pay for tasteless food, it was way too expensive. Whoever said in a post that the food comes from the freezer, I think they are correct. That is why everything was so bland. I spent over $100 for my family's meal and was not happy. The claim chowder was watered down and by far the worst chowder I ever tasted! Good luck staying open much longer, I will never go back.

Harbor Lights has good food at good prices. I enjoy having dinner there and I am never disappointed. I have stopped in there at least once a year over the last 5 years. I would recommend their special.

We went to Harbor Lights in Sept 2011 because it was reviewed as having "award winning" steaks and seafood. Sadly, it was one of the worst meals I've had in a long time (and I'm not a particularly picky eater). We arrived at around 7:45 on a Saturday night and they were practically shutting down for the night. They had already run out of bread. We decided to order the beef tenderloin special and the salad bar. The salad bar was iceberg lettuce, prepackaged dressing, celery sticks and no other vegetables. Everything else was cottage cheese, canned peaches, pasta salads, and many other items that were covered in mayo and looked incredibly unhealthy. Our tenderloin was so salty that I could barely eat it. The staff were very friendly, but overall this place really left something to be desired.

Decent food, not too bad a price for green lake. Apparently my expectations are too high because I didn't see anything that makes the salad bar amazing. Yeah the decor is a little outdated, I'd consider it quaint. Typical Wisconsin supper club type place.

4 star salad bar - met most of my supper club requirements - pickled beets, liver pate, cheese spread, fresh veges, creamed onions, only the tired iceberg was a disappointment. Hubbie loved the perfectly done prime rib end piece. And yes, you can sub a fresh vege for the baked potato.

Your usual WI supper club with dated decor, plentiful salad bar and hearty portions. Not too fancy. Not too pricey. I think the chairs are the same ones from when I went here as a kid in 1975. The bartender was ridiculously rude to my mom and her friend. Bascially said if they did not like the way he made a drink they could leave! My mom is a good sport and laughed it off. Mentioned it to their server when they were seated and apparently that is the way this crabby old bartender rolls. I can`t really give more than 3 stars to a place that tried to kick my mom out!

Great prior review! We love the Chicken Livers as well. There is also Parte and some other delights with the salad bar. Always good steak specials. Anything with their Jack Daniel's sauce is great. So is their seafood. Be ready to have a drink at the bar on the weekends. Always a good crowd.

Once is too much....awful breakfast from food to service and attitude....Eater Beware... Little Corporal was jammed....we walked into Sea Critters ala Harbor Lights and the only one in the place.....They don't follow restaurant cleanliness either. Bathrooms were dated and smelled as well.....Nursing home dining rooms were better in appearance compared to the gloom in this place. Some food served cold to both of us...when we mentioned how we felt....the waitress said yes, she is aware sometimes the food is not served "hot" and she has no control over it....just a waitress." Never too return...once is too much.....We paid r bill....which we probably should have walked out when it was delivered to the table....We did not each much of it...my toast was soaking with butter....running thru the thinly sliced bread....worse to awful meal and general atmosphere.

Went there last night because we heard they remodeled (read just paint) and had a $50.00 restaurant.com coupon. Waitress knew nothing about the menu (not her fault), apps didn't come out as listed on the menu. Dipping sauce was ranch from the salad bar. We asked for perch, we were told they ran out (6:30pm on a Friday with only 5 tables seated) that is B.S. Ribs were super dry (overcooked), fish we did get was like Mrs Pauls refried, onion rings were all cooked differently, with different batter. Best meal may have been the kids meal chicken tenders. Honestly, save yourself the trouble and keep on driving. They are not even trying. I'm not sure how they stay in business, we were the last people in the restuarant at 7:30pm on a Friday. A filet of fish from McDonalds is better. We will NEVER go there again - not if they pay me.

Not only have I eaten here many times, however I was employed there. The food tastes like it comes right out of the freezer, why? Because it does. They only have iceberg lettuce & when it turns brown, the owner takes it & feeds it to his rabbit & uses the not-entirely-brown lettuce in the salad bar. The rolls are left covered in black garbage bags over night, then heated in the microwave for 10 seconds & then brought to your table. NOTHING is made fresh. The baked potatoes are wrapped in tinfoil & thrown in a box where they sit & are cooked until they run out. Then the process is repeated. The only true handmade food in that restaurant is the ranch dressing which the owner makes. I saw a cook drop half a rack of ribs on the ground & when I said, "I don't think you should serve those" she said, "The guy is an asshole anyway, he will never know", she handed it to the server, and SHE ACTUALLY SERVED IT. If you guys don't believe me, I'll answer it under oath, sign an affidavit, take a lie detector test, you name it. There are moldy buns, food & broken plates under the sinks & counters in the kitchen. I was there until after 11 cleaning before the health inspector came, I even cut my hand on one of the plates & STILL have the scar to prove it. If you eat here, please have your doctor on call.

They are trying to modernize their image at Harbor Lights. Good, it needs it. Been here on previous trips to mediocre moderately priced food. Part of the new look is paint and a new menu. On July 5th Saturday night you'd expect a packed house. We did, they apparently didn't. We were able to get a table right away but they quickly filled up. I'm a very patient guy when it comes to busy restaurants, but there is a limit. My wife ordered Crab Bisque and sautéed vegetables. The bisque showed up as tomato sauce with what had to be canned crabmeat piled on top. (Read about the veg next paragraph she sent them back)! I ordered amberjack (one of the catch of the day specials) for $19.95. The menu offers a number of ways to prepare the fish, I chose blackened, and a choice of two sides. I chose sautéed vegetables and rice pilaf (rice pilaf? Yes, I wanted to avoid the salad bar with Saran Wrap sneeze guard). Well, the dish came with rice in a bowl, and canned mixed vegetables on the plate with the fish. Presentation? huh uh. You know the mixed veg I mean, lima beans, corn, carrot cubes, green beans. Seriously! And the fish, it came pan fried, barely seared. Nothing had seasoning, I had to salt and pepper EVERYTHING. My sister in law had filet mignon and a baked potato for around $26. She said the filet was good, however the potato came not sliced. She cut into it to find it flawed in the middle and not edible. All of this took an excessive amount of time, water glasses set empty ( never filled once) and I had to go to the bar to get my own glass of wine because I got tired of waiting for it. The waitress never brought my wine but tried to charge me for it. An adjacent table of eight got up and left after salads because they tired of waiting...I wish I had.
